It's hard to believe she's been a part of our family for
only 6 months, and yet, it's also hard to believe that she's
already 6 months old! Naomi is a happy baby (unless she's hungry, tired or messy), full of smiles and giggles (especially for her siblings!). I love the wonder of discovery that comes at this age!
She is starting to eat "real" foods and has, so far, been very impressed with everything we've given her. Hopefully, this means she won't be too picky!
We gave her her first corn cob last week and you would've thought she'd died and gone to heaven (well, she probably thought that, but we saw her right there enjoying every lick and bite she could get!)
She also tends to like eating fabric - especially her bibs and burp rags! It is really fun to watch her attack the bib and then look up like she's won something big, with the bib (or burp rag, or whatever) hanging out of her mouth!
Naomi is beginning to creep, and has made the first couple of
forward inches just in the last week. Though she has been scooting
backward (which she finds very frustrating, by the way) and
rolling (a much more worthwhile endeavor in her mind) all over the place for a while.
She sits proficiently and only tips over
sometimes - usually when another sibling (I'm not naming names, but one is 2 and the other is 5) is involved.
And, she
loves to swing!
