Turning 11

It's hard to believe that I've been a mom for 11 years now.  I am so proud of the young man Joshua is becoming.  We have had many conversations about what his fruit looks like - sometimes good, sometimes not-so-good.  It seems like we are having more and more good fruit showing lately.  He has been starting to take small steps of responsibility with his siblings.  I can leave the house for an hour or so and he can handle things.  Of course, it's a small town and I am never more than 3 minutes away and have a cell phone with me.  But the maturity he is showing has been impressive lately.  Anyway, a couple of photos from his birthday are in order.
"Sweet!  A Compass watch - and it clips on my belt instead of annoying my wrist!"

"A Walmart giftcard?  Can I swipe it like a debit card at the register?"

In his maturing and developing tastes, he requested a German Chocolate Cake (nothing simple like white or chocolate). It was a little crooked and lumpy, but it still tasted quite nice.
"Whoa!  An R/C ATV!!"  Should I mention that it is fast enough to chase little sisters around with? ;D
