Diamond Dust

As for us here in Waterville, the winter storm warning finally made true to its name.  For the first 24 hours all we had was an inch or so of snow.  The kids and I were really disappointed - especially after all of the "winter storm warning" hype that started here a full day early.  We woke up this morning with 2-2.5" - enough for the kids to get excited about playing in.   Then it started to snow!  And I don't mean a measly little bit of snow.  It's been snowing all day and it's still going hard (it's 9:30pm as I type this).  We have an easy 6-7" and it's smoothed out all of the harsh lines in the world (including the weeds we didn't get pulled ;D).  We live in a soft, white, cold (16 and dropping fast - forecast: 6F), sparkly world now.  It is remarkably glittery - much more so than usual.  The kids and I were joking that God has been sprinkling us with diamond dust all evening long.  It's is absolutely fantastic, and mesmerizing, to watch.   And, no, I don't have my camera yet.
Now, to get the van out.  Hmmm. ;D
