We're Back!

It's been a while since I posted. James and I have been sick with a yucky cold - we managed to share it with many of our visitors last week. Sorry. James had a double ear infection along with his cold, so he has been kind of high maintenance lately. So, there's my excuse!

Josh should be glad that sumer is drawing to a close. It's been kind of hard on him this year. I guess 7 year old boys just play hard, but ouch! He wiped out on his bike and lost a bit of skin. Though that's not all that he's lost this summer. Check out those missing teeth!


The summer is officially over as school starts today. The kids are excited to start more formal learning. Today we learned about how history is discovered, worked on forming some of our letters the correct way, and learned about Termites! Eeww! They love learning about bugs, but sometimes I am not as excited to know more about these yucky things!

We must be an official homeschool family now - after learning about how termites live, they made a termite mound and some "model" termites out of play dough. Not bad! Six legs plus a giant set of jaws for defending the nest.
