Moving, Drooling, Making Faces

Something has changed in the last week or so, James just seems so much more grown up, like a real little boy.  He's also creeping in earnest.  I lost him yesterday.  I left him safely in the middle of his blanket on the floor with a pile of toys and went to the back room for a minute.  When I came back, he was gone!  He had headed to the kitchen, apparently to find me.  He sees something he wants and he gets there - it's not pretty yet, but by sheer determination he meets his goal.  Boy, are we in trouble later!

He's also drooling rivers - literally!  He was sick and his appetite decreased, but he also must have been slightly dehydrated (easy to under-stand on a liquid diet) because his drooling lessened a bit.  The kid can soak through several plastic/rubber lined bibs in a day. How does that work, I ask?  And the fingers!  They are always in his mouth!  He had only had this shirt on for about 15 minutes when I took the picture - notice the wetness on his chest!

He's got this new face he makes by pressing his lips together.  It cracks me up!
